Back In The Day was formed by Larry Lee, a talented professional in several arenas, and in its short existence, the band has opened up for the Isley Brothers, Chante' Moore, Kenny Lattimore, and Joe. Its set list crosses over several musical boundaries, with its emphasis on old school funk and r&b. An added intangible is the previous experience of its leader Larry Lee. Larry was a NFL player with the Detroit Lions, Miami Dolphins, and Denver Broncos from 1981-89, and participated in SBXXII with the Broncos. He then went on to become V.P. of the Lions (1996-2001). He grew up in Dayton, Ohio, the land of funk, with Roger Troutman, Ohio Players, Heatwave, and Slave. Playing with several of the groups' members at various times in their careers.

Back In The Day is an 8 piece band comprised of top notch professional musicians. Members of Back In The Day are former members of The Temptations, Dramatics, 4 Tops, Spinners, Parliament/Funkadelic, and Bill Moss and the Celestials. Larry Lee Bass Player and leader is one talented individual. He spent 18 years in the NFL 9 as a player and 9 as an executive. As a player he played for the Detroit Lions, Miami Dolphins, and Denver Broncos. As a member of the Broncos he played in Super Bowl XXII. He has been a professional bass player for more than 25 years. In 2006 he was voted Urban/Funk musician of the year (Detroit Music Awards). His band Back In The Day has been nominated 4 years in a row 05, 06, 07, and 08 as the R and B band of the year (Detroit Music Awards).
